A free 2027 calendar printable, in the size your printer takes
Most printable calendars are drawn once, on US Letter, and left to the printer to sort out. If the tray holds A4, the page either loses its edges or shrinks until the boxes are too small to write in. So we drew the 2027 calendar printable twice, once for each sheet, and then once more for each week start. Choose the row that matches your paper and the day your week begins.

Every file has the same 13 pages. Page one is the 2027 yearly calendar, all twelve months on a single sheet for a wall, a fridge or the inside cover of a binder. Pages two to thirteen are the 2027 monthly calendar, one month per page, with the month before and after in small type at the top right, and three lines for notes under the grid. If you only want the year, print page one. If you only want a month, print that page alone; nothing depends on the pages around it.
The pages are portrait, with a wider margin on the left so a three-hole punch misses the grid. The Templacity mark sits small in the footer of each page, outside anything you would write on.
The year
What the 2027 calendar looks like before you print it
2027 starts on a Friday and ends on a Friday. It is not a leap year, so February has 28 days and the year has 365; our page on whether 2027 is a leap year walks through the rule if you want the reasoning. A few things follow from that Friday start that are worth knowing before you plan around the grid.
On a Sunday-start grid, January, May and October each need six rows, because their 30th or 31st spills into an extra week. On a Monday-start grid, May and August need six rows, and February needs only four: February 1, 2027 is a Monday and the 28 days fill four weeks exactly, with no blank boxes either side. That is rare. It happens only when a common year’s February starts on the first day of your week.
There is one Friday the 13th in 2027, in August. And because January 1 falls on a Friday, the first ISO week of the year does not begin until Monday, January 4. The three days before it belong to the last week of 2026.
Week numbers
Monday or Sunday start, and where the week numbers come from

In the US, wall calendars usually start the week on Sunday. Across most of Europe the week starts on Monday, and the international date standard, ISO 8601, counts it that way too. Neither is right; the useful question is which one your work, school or rota uses, because a planner that disagrees with the schedule you live by gets misread on the first busy Monday.
The Monday-start files print the ISO week number at the left of every row. The first row of January reads W53, because January 1 to 3 sit in the last ISO week of 2026; W1 starts on the next row. ISO weeks run Monday to Sunday, and week 1 is the week that holds the year’s first Thursday, which in 2027 is January 7. That puts week 1 on January 4 to 10 and gives 2027 exactly 52 weeks, ending with week 52 on Sunday, January 2, 2028. If your office, factory or school talks in week numbers, this is the version to print. Our guide to week numbers explained covers why week 1 moves each year, and how many weeks are in a year covers the years that get a week 53.
We left the week numbers off the Sunday-start files on purpose. ISO weeks begin on Monday, so a Sunday-first row straddles two ISO weeks, and a single number beside it would be wrong for one day in seven.
Holidays
US federal holidays on the 2027 printable calendar
The two Letter files name the eleven US federal holidays in their day boxes and underline them on the year page. The list and its rules come from federal law, 5 U.S.C. 6103, and fixed rules mean the 2027 dates can be read straight off the calendar: New Year’s Day on Friday, January 1; Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 18; Washington’s Birthday on February 15; Memorial Day on May 31; Juneteenth on Saturday, June 19; Independence Day on Sunday, July 4; Labor Day on September 6; Columbus Day on October 11; Veterans Day on November 11; Thanksgiving on November 25; and Christmas Day on Saturday, December 25.
Four of those land on a weekend, and that changes which weekday is off. Under the same statute, a holiday that falls on a Saturday is observed on the Friday before, and Executive Order 11582 moves a Sunday holiday to the Monday after for federal staff. In 2027 that gives four observed days, and they are marked on the files too: Friday, June 18 for Juneteenth; Monday, July 5 for Independence Day; Friday, December 24 for Christmas; and Friday, December 31, because New Year’s Day 2028 is a Saturday. Many employers follow the federal pattern, but not all of them, so check your own before you book the long weekends.
Four of the 2027 holidays land on a weekend, and that changes which weekday is off.
The A4 files carry no holidays. They are printed mostly outside the US, where the public holidays differ by country and often by region, and a calendar with the wrong ones printed in is worse than one with none. Write in your own; there is room in every box.
Printing
How to print a yearly or monthly calendar that stays readable
-
1
Match the file to the paper
US Letter is 8.5 by 11 inches; A4 is 210 by 297 mm, narrower and taller. Open the print preview and check that the page size and the tray agree.
-
2
Print at 100 percent
Set the scale to actual size or 100 percent. Fit to page shrinks the grid and the margin the punch needs.
-
3
Choose the pages
Page 1 is the year. Pages 2 to 13 are January to December, so March is page 4. Type a page range to print one month or one quarter.
-
4
Print single-sided for a binder
The wide margin is on the left. Printed double-sided, it ends up on the wrong edge of every back page.
Greyscale is the right setting for these files, since there is no colour in them to lose. The grid is drawn in hairlines rather than filled bars, which is what keeps twelve pages from emptying a cartridge, and it means pencil, gel pen and highlighter all show up clearly on top. For a wall calendar, a heavier sheet keeps the page flat against the wall and stops ink from showing through.

When a printable calendar is not enough for 2027
A month grid holds dates, deadlines and birthdays. It does not hold the week itself: what you are doing on Tuesday afternoon, the three things that must happen before Friday. For that, a printable weekly planner sits behind the month page in the same binder, and a printable daily planner takes the days that are too full for a box.
If you would rather have all of it dated and in order, our Printable Planner 2027 is the paid version: the year, each month with a habit tracker, all 53 weeks that touch 2027 dated, and a separate file with a dated page for every day, in three designs, in Letter, A4 and A5, with both week starts. The free calendar here is not a sample of it; it is a calendar on its own, and it stays free.
If you plan on an e-ink tablet instead of paper, print nothing: our free 2027 calendar for e-ink tablets builds the same year sized to your device’s screen, and every month on it is free. For more pages built for paper, the printables section is where they all live.
