№ 00 — Press kit

Everything you need to cover us, without emailing first.

We’re a small studio — two people — so this page exists to save you a round-trip. Boilerplate, numbers, logos, photography, and approved quotes. Use anything here without asking. We’d love to know when it’s live so we can share it.

Boilerplate

Drop-in paragraphs. Short for round-ups, long for feature pieces. Copy, paste, lightly edit.

Short — 1 line

Templacity is a small independent studio making carefully built digital templates for e-ink devices, spreadsheets, and everyday software.

Medium — 40 words

Templacity publishes slowly. Each template is tuned to the device it lives on — page size, tap targets, margins, writing surface — reviewed for a week, then shipped with lifetime updates. The studio is independent, self-funded, and based between the UK and the Netherlands.

Long — 110 words, for features

Templacity is an independent studio making digital planning templates for e-ink devices (reMarkable, Kindle Scribe, Boox), spreadsheets, and a handful of pieces of software that deserved better defaults. Where other template shops ship monthly catalogues of hundreds of files, Templacity ships fewer than twenty — each tuned to the device it runs on, reviewed for a week by the person who designed it, and sold with lifetime updates at a single quiet price. Founded in 2024 by Plan-Put, the studio serves about four thousand customers across 40 countries, and reinvests every pound into the next revision. No external funding, no influencer discounts, no hype.

Founder

Available for interviews — written, podcast, or video. Usually replies inside a day.

Plan-Put

  • Speaks to: e-ink design, template economics, indie-studio ops, why software ships fewer features than it should
  • Speaks in: English, Dutch

Approved pull quotes

Written by the founder, cleared for any context. Pick one, paste into the piece, attribute to Plan-Put, founder, Templacity.

On e-ink

“Designing for e-ink is designing for patience. Refresh is slower than pixels; contrast is narrower than paper; the pen feels like a pencil on cartridge. A layout that looks elegant in a mockup can feel laboured on the device. We design everything with the device on the desk, not the monitor.”

On catalogue size

“Most template shops ship hundreds of files a year because the economics reward volume. We ship fewer than twenty because the economics of our studio reward keeping each one alive for a decade.”

On lifetime updates

“If you bought a template in 2024 and we ship a better version in 2029, you get 2029’s version — at no extra cost. The alternative is a studio that quietly hopes you’ll buy the same thing again. We’d rather not run that studio.”

On what we don’t do

“We don’t do countdowns, abandoned-cart emails, or influencer discounts. A planner is a tool. You either need it or you don’t — and if you don’t, we’d rather you walk away than be talked into it.”
