What it is
What Kindle Click is, and what it costs
Kindle Click is Amazon’s first page-turn remote of its own. It launched with the redesigned 2026 Kindle lineup on 1 October 2026 at $34.99, and Amazon pitches it for reading under the covers, on a treadmill, or on a tray table during a flight. It pairs over Bluetooth, so nothing clips onto the screen and the Kindle can sit on a stand, a pillow or a dock while you read.
According to the product details Good e-Reader published, it is a small white remote with two large grey buttons, one for the next page and one for the previous. Dedicated side buttons adjust screen brightness without opening a menu, and pressing both puts the Kindle to sleep. It runs for weeks on a charge and recharges over USB-C, with the cable and adapter sold separately, and it comes with an optional wrist lanyard.

Compatibility
Which Kindles work with Kindle Click
Amazon’s compatibility line is short: all new Kindle devices, and any Kindle model from 2024 or later. That covers the whole 2026 lineup, the 6-inch Kindle, Paperwhite and Colorsoft in every version, and the 2024 Kindle, Paperwhite and Colorsoft. The rule is written by model year, not by device family, so if your Kindle came out before 2024, it is not covered, whatever its name.
If you are not sure which year yours is, the order in your Amazon account will tell you, and a model bought new in late 2024 or after is almost certainly in range. For an older Kindle, a Bluetooth page turner is not something Amazon offers; third-party clickers that tap the screen exist, and this is the problem Click was built to remove.
Availability
Kindle Click release date: why yours will take a while
Click went on sale on launch day, and demand outran the stock. Amazon told Good e-Reader that, because of demand, day-one orders will not ship until 11 November 2026, and many orders placed after that have been pushed back to March 2027. If you order now, plan on the later date.
If your Kindle sits on a stand, a pillow or the dock while you read, Click is the one that lets it stay there.Click or cover

Kindle Click or the Page-Turn Cover?
The Page-Turn Cover puts physical page-turn buttons on a slim magnetic cover, connected through pogo pins, at $79.99. It only fits the 2026 Paperwhite Signature Edition and Colorsoft Signature Edition, and its buttons are on the device, so it helps one-handed reading rather than reading from across the room. Amazon’s matching Charging Dock, $59.99, holds those same two models upright while they charge.
The split is clear. If you hold your Kindle, the cover puts the buttons under your thumb and doubles as protection. If your Kindle sits on a stand, a pillow or the dock while you read, Click is the one that lets it stay there, and at $34.99 it works with far more Kindles. Plain covers start at $39.99 if protection is all you are after, and our Kindle Paperwhite cases guide covers the rest of that shelf.
The rest of the launch
The Kindles it was launched with
Click arrived with a new 6-inch Kindle, a new Paperwhite and a new Colorsoft; the next generation Kindle page covers all of them. If what you want is to write on a Kindle rather than read hands-free, that is the Scribe, and a Scribe is only as useful as the pages on it.
