Kindle Scribe Colorsoft release date, region by region
The Kindle Scribe Colorsoft release date is really several dates. Amazon announced the device on 30 September 2025, alongside two new black-and-white Scribes, and said only that it would reach the US later that year. It then launched one market at a time, naming each date about a week before it arrived. An earlier version of this page put the release in late 2024 and described launches in the UK, Europe and Australia during 2025. None of that was right: it confused this 11-inch writing tablet with the smaller Kindle Colorsoft reader, a different device. Every date below comes from a source we opened, listed at the end of the page.

Read the last row as a gap in what can be verified, not as a prediction. Amazon has not published a roadmap for the device, so a country with no announced date has no date to count down to. An unannounced country has no date to wait for, only a local Amazon listing to watch.
United States
The US release: announced in September, on sale in December
Amazon unveiled the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft on 30 September 2025 at $629.99 for 32 GB and $679.99 for 64 GB, together with a Kindle Scribe with a front light and one without. The date came on 4 December: the Colorsoft and the front-lit Scribe would go on sale on 10 December 2025, in the US only and in Graphite only. The Fig colour was held back, and Good e-Reader reported in January that it would follow on 28 January 2026 at the same price as Graphite. UK and Germany
Kindle Scribe Colorsoft release date in the UK and Germany: 8 April 2026
The first markets outside the US were the UK and Germany, both on 8 April 2026, announced the week before. Amazon’s UK announcement lists the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft from £569.99, the front-lit Kindle Scribe from £449.99 and the Kindle Scribe without a front light from £389.99. In Germany the Colorsoft is €649.99 for 32 GB and €699.99 for 64 GB, and the front-lit Scribe is €519.99 and €569.99. In both countries the Fig colour comes only with 64 GB, so a 32 GB Colorsoft there is Graphite.
The sources for the April launch name the UK and Germany and no other European storefront. We could not confirm a release date for France, Italy, Spain or any other European Amazon site, so we are not giving one. If you are elsewhere in Europe, search your own Amazon storefront before assuming a German listing will deliver to you.
Canada and the rest
Canada, Australia and the markets without a date
Canada came next. Good e-Reader reported on 12 May 2026 that all three new Scribes would reach Canada on 10 June 2026, with the Colorsoft at CAD 829.99 for 32 GB and CAD 899.99 for 64 GB. For Australia, Japan and every other country, we found no announced date. That is the honest state of the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft release date there: not late, not cancelled, simply not announced.
