Do not open it in a browser and transfer it from there. Browsers can hand the device a file that is not a clean PDF, which is what makes an import fail or the hyperlinks stop working.

        </details>
                <details class="faq">

Boox.

Open the planner in the Boox reader app, NeoReader, and not in the Notes app. Notes flattens a PDF so that you can write on it, and flattening switches every hyperlink off. If you are between models, templacity.com/e-ink-pdf-sizes/ lists the page sizes we build to. As an example, a Boox Note Air 3 takes the same file as a Note Air 4C, since the only difference between them is colour rather than size.

        </details>
                <details class="faq">

OneNote on a Mac.

Microsoft has retired the tool that imported a whole notebook in one go, and it is not coming back, so any guide built around it now leads to an error page. Opening the notebook itself still works on a Mac. In your download, ignore the file ending in .onepkg, which is the packaged version a Mac will not take. Beside it is a folder of section files ending in .one. In OneNote, open the File menu, choose Open Section, and pick them one at a time. If Open Section is not in your File menu, your version is older and needs the Backups-folder route, so write in and we will walk you through it.

        </details>
                <details class="faq">

OneNote in a shared notebook.

Works, and one purchase covers it. Once a template is imported it is ordinary OneNote content, so sharing the notebook from OneDrive shares the template with it, and anything either person adds syncs for the other.

        </details>

№ 03

Hyperlinks not working

                <details class="faq" open>

Start here.

Nine times in ten the file is fine and something flattened it on the way in. Save the PDF to a computer first, then transfer it to the device, then open it in the device's reader rather than its note-taking app. On a Boox that means NeoReader and not Notes.

        </details>
                <details class="faq">

I inserted a page and now every link lands one page early.

That is expected, and it is worth knowing why. Every link in the file points at a page position, not at a page name. "Notes 07" is stored as a jump to a page number rather than a jump to a page called Notes 07. Insert a page in the middle and everything after it slides down by one, so each link lands a page short. Add your extra pages at the very end of the file instead and every existing link keeps working.

        </details>
                <details class="faq">

I copied a summary page and its links still point at the old pages.

A copy carries its link annotations with it unchanged, so it points where the original pointed. Tablets cannot create or re-point a PDF link on the device. That is a limit of what the hardware can edit, not a setting you have missed. Any link that appears to jump to "now" is really a fixed jump to a fixed page. To reach the current week, go through the Month page for the month you are in and tap the week from the calendar there, since those links are dated. After that your tablet reopens the file where you left it, so the current week becomes the page you land on.

        </details>
                <details class="faq">

Can I move my handwriting from one file into another?

Not automatically. Your writing is not stored inside the PDF. The tablet keeps it as its own layer attached to that specific file, so a different file opens clean. For a few pages, select the writing with the selection tool, copy it, open the other file at the matching page and paste. Expect to nudge it into place if the two layouts differ, for example when moving between a Monday-start and a Sunday-start week.

        </details>
                <details class="faq">

Do I tap the links with the pen or a finger?

A fingertip. Every tab, index row and page link is followed by tapping it.
